A Fresh Option for Summertime Meetings

Happy staff at a lunch meetingChoosing a menu for summertime meetings and events can be a bit of a challenge. There aren’t a lot of options that sound appealing on a sweltering hot day, unless it involves a grill. (Know any offices with a patio and a grill out back? If you do, let me know and I might consider a change of employment.) I don’t like offering my group a meat and potato meal when it’s 102 degrees. A box lunch from a chain deli? Yawn. Nearby restaurants are already frequented by the staff on a regular basis, so finding other appealing options is a chore, but I’ve found one place that seems to make everyone happy. Celebrity Bakery is my secret weapon against boring meeting food and grumbly folks.

When you think of Celebrity Café & Bakery, you think of all things dessert: scrumptious cakes, cake balls, cupcakes, cookies, and other delicious treats. That’s a no-brainer. However, Celebrity has some delicious offerings on their catering menu that will beat the humdrum go-tos your office may have had through the rest of the year.

The Breakfast Bar option has all the bells and whistles, with scrambled eggs, bacon or sausage, seasoned potatoes, seasonal fruit, and a choice of muffins or croissants. Need something simple to grab and go? Check out the Scrambled Egg Sandwiches with cheddar cheese, tomato, & your choice of crispy bacon or sliced ham on a butter croissant, or the Southwest Breakfast Burritos made with scrambled eggs, bacon, tomatoes, bell peppers, & cheddar cheese wrapped in a warm flour tortilla. Any of these beat the heck out of a box of donuts with the crew!

Jubilee Salad

When we want a lighter-side salad or sandwich kind of lunch, Celebrity’s got some fun options. The Texas Caesar Salad’s romaine lettuce, red bell pepper, corn, sundried tomatoes, chicken, parmesan cheese and croutons served in a spicy Caesar dressing brings a mouthwatering twist to a traditional favorite. The Jubilee Salad’s toasted walnuts, blue cheese, strawberries and blueberries served with jubilee dressing sounds delicious on a hot day. When I think they could use something more substantial, we like the Lemon Herb Chicken with Greek pasta salad as a side or the Cheese Enchiladas with Spanish Rice a lot. No matter what you choose, it’s not going to be another lackluster lunch for your crew.

Smore BarsIn the event that a traditional sandwich tray or salad tray, etc. is really what is going to work best for your meeting, Celebrity has a great variety of choices that will appeal to a wide variety of tastes. Just need some tasty snacks for an afternoon meeting? The Bacon Cheddar Ranch, Buffalo Chicken, Fiesta, and Cranberry Feta pinwheels are always a hit with the group. And of course, if I’m looking to “Wow” them, I always include some of Celebrity’s signature items: desserts. An assortment of bars like Iced Brownies, Lemon Bars, Strawberry Jam Bars, and S’mores Bar are very popular with my team.
